Passion-Driven Personal Training & Nutrition Coaching
Health and fitness transformed my life, far beyond just looking and feeling better. Studies show health and exercise can fuel energy, motivation, focus, confidence, happiness and more. This translates into our everyday lives. More focus at work, more energy to play with your kids, happier relationships with loved ones, more motivation to finally start that side hustle, more confidence to talk to that person you've had your eye on. Whatever it is health and fitness can help you get there, like it did me, and I want more people to have that.
PT Approach: Shake Things Up - Muscle Confusion
You’ve heard of muscle memory. The more you do something your muscles remember and the easier it becomes. In fitness we don’t want things to become easier. We want to be challenging ourselves to continue progressing. While the level of challenge is dependent on each individuals specific fitness level and goals, we need to be challenging ourselves to progress.
That’s where muscle confusion comes in and how we will approach your fitness program. As soon as the routine starts feeling too comfortable, we will shake things up! The key is to keep your muscles guessing and progressing.
Nutrition Approach: Evaluate, Reasonable but Effective Changes
I'm not going to give you a whole new grocery list with "do's" and "don'ts". We want to create long term effective change, and studies show small changes overtime have a better tendency to stick. Large drastic changes may be effective short term, but in many cases they aren't sustainable. So instead, we will first look at what a typical week looks like for you with a week long food journal. We then will take a look at everything you ate that week and collectively agree to reasonable but effective suggested changes. As time goes on that change becomes your new normal, and makes room for new reasonable but effective changes.
